Dubai, UAE (March 2026):                JA The Resort, home to JA Palm Tree Court, JA Beach Hotel, and JA Lake View Hotel, Jebel Ali’s premier beachfront destination, has announced the successful completion of a major energy efficiency retrofit in partnership with X-NOOR, a leading solar and energy efficiency developer. The initiative, implemented under a 10-year Shared-Savings Energy Performance Contract (ESPC), has delivered a 20% reduction in the resort’s energy consumption—marking a significant milestone in its sustainability roadmap.

The scope of work included the implementation of 14 energy efficiency measures across the three properties, targeting reductions in energy, water, and diesel consumption. The completed measures are now delivering annual savings of 8,388 MWh of energy, 7,062,000 imperial gallons of water, and 41,902 litres of diesel. Over the 10-year agreement term, these savings are expected to reduce the resort’s utility bills by more than 20% and achieve cumulative CO₂ emissions savings of 40,314 metric tonnes.

In parallel, 965 kWp rooftop solar PV system installed by X-NOOR is now fully operational and generating clean energy at the resort and we expect to increase up to 1.127 kWp soon. The system is projected to generate 1.972 GWh annually, contributing to a total of 37.6 GWh over its 20-year term. Together, the energy efficiency measures and the solar installation deliver a combined impact equivalent to a 6.2 MWp solar PV plant, reinforcing JA The Resort’s position as a leader in sustainable hospitality.
