Nelson Gibb
CEO, Dutco Group
Mr. Nelson Gibb is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Dubai Transport Company LLC of the Dutco Group, a leading Dubai based conglomerate comprising of over 20 Companies and over 10,000 employees.
He sits on many of the Boards of the group companies of Dutco. Prior to joining Dutco in 1996, Mr. Gibb was the Director for the International Business of the leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Company, Balfour Kilpatrick Ltd (a member of the Balfour Beatty Group, a major UK listed Construction Group), whose Projects and Companies were based across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Mr. Gibb was educated in West Africa, Indonesia and Scotland, and has a degree from the Strathclyde University in Glasgow.
Ahmad Sharaf
CEO, Dutco Energy Divison
Mr. Sharaf has worked both international and North American upstream oil and gas industry for over 30 years, including with Conocophillips from 1989-2001, Dubai Holding (Dubai`s leading sovereign conglomerate) in various leadership positions in the energy, health care, tourism and real estate from 2005-2012 and presently is with Dutco Group, one of the Middle East`s most successful and family-owned conglomerates, leading its Energy division.
In addition to his role as a member on the Board of Directors of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) LLC and serving as Chairman of its Investment & Finance Committee and a Member of ENOC`s Audit Committee, Mr. Sharaf is also Chief Executive Officer of Dutco Energy, Chairman of Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) and DME`s Compensation Committee. He is a Director at Dragon Oil Holdings Limited, and an active Member of Duke University Fuqua Business School`s Board of Visitors.
Sami Kamel
CEO, DUTCO Cleantech
As CEO of DUTCO Cleantech, Sami brings extensive global energy, capital-intensive and industrial IoT experience, along with a track record of creating and managing diverse, multicultural commercial teams. Prior to this role, Sami has worked with General Electric, the US Department of Energy (ENREL), the United Nations Environment Program and the World Bank. Sami holds a PhD in Energy Economics from Colorado School of Mines, USA.
Mirko Molinari
CCO, X-ELIO
As Chief Commercial Officer of X-ELIO, Mirko brings almost two decades of energy sector expertise across different segments, geographies and activities. Prior to this role, Mirko has worked with General Electric and Det Norske overseeing all activities related to Energy Marketing on the global X-ELIO solar and storage portfolio.
Nicholas Pentreath
CFO, X-ELIO
Nicholas began his professional career leading several teams within the Transaction Services department for both domestic (Spain) and cross border projects at PwC, specializing in the Energy Sector.
After 13 years at PwC, 2016, he joined X-ELIO as Head of the Investment Office and Corporate Controlling.
Six years later, in 2022, he became Chief Financial Officer at X-ELIO.

Global Director PPA, X-ELIO
Previous Global Director of PPA Origination and Markets, now leading the expansion of X-ELIO’s business in the Middle East, Ignacio brings more than 20 years of experience, including 15+ in the renewables sector and more than 2GW of solar PPA negotiated across the globe.

Jesus Gutierrez
General Manager
Jesus Gutierrez is the General Manager of X-NOOR, With over 25 years of global experience in the energy and decarbonization services, Jesus is responsible for driving the company’s services in the region, with a major focus on KSA and UAE markets. Prior to X-NOOR, Jesus co-founded and served as CEO of Smart4Power, today one of the largest ESCOs in the region. Previously he worked at Indra, Naturgy, PwC and UNDP.
Wasif Shaikh
Chief Technology Officer
Wasif Shaikh leads the technical efforts to develop innovative and optimized clean energy solutions that aid customers in achieving their decarbonization targets. Wasif has previously led feasibility studies for EU investments in the Global South and managed the implementation of a utility-scale Tesla Power Pack coupled with a novel substation in the UAE.
Andreas Kolb
Chief Operations Officer
Andreas has been involved in the Energy Efficiency business in the Middle East for the last 12 years with ample experience in all areas of Energy Performance Contracting.
The engagement in all phases of the ESCP engagement process and an in-depth understanding of technical, commercial and contractual details allows him to engage on any level of the project.
No matter if the coordination is required with the client’s executive management, the ESCO’s leadership, the authorities’ representatives or the operatives on site, Andreas find the suitable approach to keep things moving.
Hisham Alhegelan
Country Manager – KSA
Hisham Alhegelan was appointed as the Country Manager for X-Noor Saudi Arabia in November 2024. With over 30 years of leadership experience, he has a proven track record of delivering outstanding strategic and operational results in diverse and challenging global environments.
From 2014 to 2019, Hisham served as the Country Manager for Abengoa, then one of the world’s largest solar power developers. Following this, he held leadership roles at the Saudi Ministry of Industry & Mineral Resources as well as Ministry of Municipality, Rural Affairs and Housing
Another added value is Hisham’s fluency in Spain and French.
Sharukh Salim
Estimation & Proposals Engineer
Sharukh is a Renewables Engineer leading the technical and business aspects of renewable energy systems. Joining X-NOOR in 2021, Sharukh focuses on building proposals and driving business development activities. Sharukh brings solid experience in proposal development and management, having worked on several successful projects in the renewable energy industry. Currently focused on developing new clients and maintaining key relationships in new markets.
Aakash Sharma
Head of Operations
Aakash is an Electrical Engineer that joined X-NOOR as Head of Operations in 2024. Earlier in his career he was working as a Project Professional bringing over a decade of experience in the solar energy C&I sector to his new role. His diverse skill set led to successful project completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards and optimizing the performance and efficiency of solar plants across the UAE and India. He has a deep understanding of the solar energy market dynamics and emerging markets in the region.

Tariq Almutawa
Tariq Almutawa is young Emirati business development engineer at X-NOOR, graduated from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in electrical engineering. Tariq is currently pursuing a Master of Science in electrical engineering at AUS. At X-NOOR, Tariq focuses to engage with commercial and industrial clients, crafting compelling business cases for investments in solar PV systems. Moreover, Tariq is dedicated in performing detailed market research in the GCC countries to gain insights and comprehensively understanding market dynamics and economics.

Abdul Basit
With over 15 years of experience in electrical and solar engineering, Abdul Basit is a dedicated
and proactive professional. Currently serving as a Project Manager and Design Engineer at X-NOOR, he excels in maintenance troubleshooting,
project management, and innovative solutions. In addition to his project management roles, he contributes to Solar energy
advancement by providing training on solar energy systems and implementing sustainable
solutions like solar panel cleaning robots, BESS, Hybrid Solar system and weather monitoring
systems.

Mohamed Salah
Mohamed as the financial controller brings a wealth of financial expertise in the MEA region and a passion to our team at X-NOOR. Holding a master’s degree in business administration, he has honed his skills in finance and strategy to drive the financial success of our business.
With a detailed oriented approach and a strategic mindset, Mohamed manages all financial operations in the GCC ensuring that the company’s financial strategies align with the mission of promoting renewable energy adoption.
Deputy Head of Business Development KSA
Charbel Beylouni
Charbel is a professional business leader holding a bachelor’s degree in industrial electrical engineering and a master’s degree in Renewable Energy from C.N.A.M. de Paris. With more than 25 years of rich technical experience in power generation and commercial experience in business development he is a great added value to the X-NOOR team.
Charbel spent most of his career in various countries all over the MENA region and was part of big projects in the renewable energy sector.
Business Development Manager KSA
Anan Omar
Anan joined the X-NOOR KSA team in May 2024 as a Business Development Manager based in the Eastern Province. He is equipped with almost 10 years’ experience in the solar sector all over the GCC, especially Saudi Arabia.
His knowledge in driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships are part of his skill set. Anan has a deep understanding of market dynamics; client’s wants and needs and identifies new business opportunities.
Accountant and Administrative Officer
Aileen Maquilan
Aileen plays a crucial dual role at X-NOOR, handling both Accounting and Administrative functions. Over the past years in the UAE, she gained in-depth experience in both fields.
Her responsibilities are multifaceted, supporting the Financial Controller, ensuring accurate bookkeeping of all financial transactions of the company, and simultaneously maintaining efficient office operations, Aileen oversees correspondence and providing exceptional administrative support to the team.
Contracts and Procurement Manager
Ayaz Ahmad
Ayaz Ahmad is the Contracts and Procurement Manager at X-NOOR, where he oversees the company’s contracts and procurement activities.
With over 16 years of EPC experience in the power sector in the MENA region as well as Europe, Ayaz has led the contract management of large and well-known solar CSP power projects.
Prior to X-NOOR, Ayaz has gained extensive experience with global leaders such as ABB, Siemens, and SENER Ingeniería.
